Anxiety care personalized for your family
You’ll receive a treatment plan tailored to your child or teen’s needs and your family’s goals. We specialize in behavioral therapy programs for anxiety.
Your Clarity journey
Your first appointment at Clarity Pediatrics is a virtual visit with a licensed pediatric clinician who specializes in anxiety. They can evaluate your child or teen for anxiety or discuss your family’s goals with a pre-existing anxiety diagnosis. This is like a regular doctor’s appointment, and your insurance will be billed for the virtual visit.
You’ll leave the first appointment with a personalized treatment plan. Most families choose to enroll in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SAPCE), the gold-standard for pediatric anxiety care, but you can also explore our other services with your clinician.

Anxiety Screenings
Our licensed child psychologists can evaluate your child or teen for anxiety. Our virtual screening process usually consists of two appointments and includes a review of your child’s relevant medical history, behavioral observation, and clinical interviews with both your child and their parents/caregivers.
If your child meets the diagnostic criteria for anxiety, our team will provide you with an evidence-based anxiety treatment plan that may include behavioral therapy programs and/or a referral for a medical consultation. If your child does not meet the diagnostic criteria for anxiety, our team will provide resources and treatment recommendations, as appropriate.
Please note: these appointments are considered a clinical service. For billing information, please see our FAQs.

Program Consultations
If your child or teen already has a diagnosis of anxiety, our licensed mental health providers will meet with you to understand your family’s goals and help determine if Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) or our Teen Anxiety Program may be a good fit for your family. Our virtual consultation process includes a review of your child’s relevant medical history and clinical interviews with the parents/caregivers.
At the conclusion of the consultation, our team will provide you with an evidence-based anxiety treatment plan that may include behavioral therapy programs and/or a referral for a medical consultation.
Please note: this appointment is a clinical service. For billing information, please see our FAQs.

Behavioral Therapy Programs
We offer several virtual group therapy programs for families of children with anxiety. These groups meet weekly with a dedicated licensed mental health provider who is a pediatric anxiety expert.
Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) teaches science-backed parenting skills to encourage confidence in your child while reducing anxious symptoms. Each SPACE group meets for ten weeks at the same day/time and is attended by parents only.
Our Teen Anxiety Program teaches parents and teens themselves evidence-based techniques that reduce time spent avoiding and overthinking while increasing independence and enjoyment of life. Each teen group meets for eight weeks at the same day/time and is attended by both parents and teens as concurrent sessions.
For families with additional ADHD concerns, BPT and BPT-Teens are available as follow-on program options.

Medication Management & Lifestyle Medicine
The American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry recommend behavioral interventions as the first-line treatment pathway for school-age children with anxiety. If medication is of interest to your family, or a part of your current care plan, our licensed pediatricians can conduct a medication consultation. In this virtual appointment, a pediatrician will share information about medications and lifestyle changes as part of an evidence-based treatment plan for anxiety, with plenty of time for questions.
If your family decides to initiate an anxiety medication with Clarity Pediatrics, our pediatricians will write the prescription(s), handle titration, monitor for side effects, assist with refills, and conduct regular virtual check-ups in coordination with your child’s pediatrician.
Clarity Pediatrics’ medication management service is not a replacement for your child’s primary care physician and only covers medication as part of an anxiety treatment plan. Learn more about our medication management service in our FAQs.
